Our COVID Policy

Dear Chapel Hill Church Members and Community Groups,

Portage Chapel Hill Church's Guidance Board and church staff wanted to provide some clarity and direction for the COVID related safety measures that are expected currently, and will continue until the spread in the community is under control. Understand that we are observing the trends and are seeing increased transmission in our local community based on the data released by the state of Michigan for Kalamazoo County. With this in mind, we want to thoughtfully open the doors and increase our in-person offerings in a safe manner for all members of our church community.

To ensure a safe environment for all, please comply with the following controls when visiting Portage Chapel Hill Church:

  • If you are feeling unwell, stay home.
  • All persons who are eligible are expected to be vaccinated.
  • All persons aged 2 and up, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask while indoors.
  • All persons should refrain from hand shaking and should regularly use hand sanitizer or wash hands in the facilities provided.
  • Persons should maintain 6’ physical distance between family groups where able.
  • Everyone should proceed outdoors to socialize following services or other activities.

For activities hosted outdoors masking and physical distancing is not required.

We appreciate the cooperation of all groups and individuals utilizing the facility in following these safety measures.

If you are not comfortable with these safety measures for any reason, the church continues to offer virtual service and Christian education opportunities.

Thank you!
