Native Plant Discussion and Plant Dig

  • Sunday, September 25

Master Gardener Ruth Caputo will discuss native plants and their importance, as well as what it means to our faith to be good stewards of the Earth. The conversation will happen at 10 am in the Chapel. Then at Noon, Ruth will lead interested folks out onto the grounds of the church to dig up some of the native plants on the property to take home. Please bring your own garden tools and containers to take your plants home.


Chapel Hill Kids' Choir

  • Wednesdays, beginning October 5
  • 6 - 7 pm in Room 109 (on the lower level of the church building)

Portage Chapel Hill's Kids' Choir begins Wednesday, October 5! All kids in preschool - 9th grades are welcome. After the first meeting we will form specific choirs based on age. Kids' choirs perform a song about once per month during Sunday morning worship, and also lead the Family worship service on Christmas Eve. See the Children's Ministries page for more info.


Family Outing to Station 66​

Bring the whole family and celebrate the season at Station 66 in Battle Creek at 12:30 pm on Sunday, October 9 (immediately following the 11 am worship service). Station 66 offers hayrides, and "friendly forest", cider & donuts, and a pumpkin patch. See the Children's Ministries page for more information.


Red Cross Blood Drive​

  • 10:15 am - 4 pm in Fellowship Hall (on the lower level of the church building)

Save a life - be a blood donor! Chapel Hill partners with the American Red Cross to host four blood drives per year. Please visit to learn more.


Soup & Study

  • Tuesdays from Noon - 1 pm

Pastor Jess leads a casual lunchtime Bible study each Tuesday at Noon in Room 108, on the lower level of the church building. Bring your lunch and your Bible for a time of holy conversation. This is a drop-in opportunity - no registration is required, and no pre-reading is necessary.


Free Community Meals with God's Kitchen​

  • 3rd Wednesday of every month, 5 - 6 pm.
  • Served drive-thru style from the main church entrance.
